The Coast Waste Management Association (CWMA) is hosting a networking luncheon at the Vancouver Island Conference Centre in Nanaimo, B.C. on April 20, 2012.
The luncheon, entitled “Demystifying Carbon Offsets for Waste and Recycling Professionals”, will provide delegates with a greater understanding of carbon credits, carbon offsets, and greenhouse gas emissions measurement from a waste and recycling professionals’ perspective.
Speakers include:
-James Tansey, CEO and co-founder of Offsetters, Canada’s leading provider of carbon management solutions
-Howard M. Goldby, vice president, Environmental Management and Technology Group for BFI/Progressive Waste Solutions
-Cameron Stonestreet, a business development associate at Pacific Carbon Trust, the Crown corporation created to deliver quality made-in-B.C. greenhouse gas offsets.
The luncheon will also include the CWMA Annual General Meeting (AGM).
Tickets are $40 for CWMA members and $50 for non-members. There is no charge to attend the AGM.
