The countdown is on to register for SWANA’s 6th Canadian Waste Symposium: Generating Ideas on the Power of Waste.
The event takes place April 22 - 25, 2012 in beautiful Niagara Falls, Ontario, and the keynote speakers have been confirmed!
Noted ecologist Steven Apfelbaum and Durham Region Chair Roger Anderson will open the Symposium on Monday, April 23.
Following a jam-packed two days of great presentations, Environment Commissioner of Ontario Gord Miller will close the Symposium.
Join us for a full day of sessions on communicating, educating and marketing waste diversion programs, plus SWANA Canada’s first ever Communication Forum!
We have teamed up with organizers of the Ontario Waste Educators Forum to bring in presentations from all across Canada, from British Columbia all the way to Nova Scotia!
Communication Forum topics include:
- The power of communication
- Communicating waste diversion in schools
- Social marketing case studies
- Creating educational videos
Also, meet the designer, printer and paper manufacturer who sponsored all of the communication materials for the Symposium. Hear how their businesses are “walking the talk” of waste diversion!
